Behind the UTC Pudu case, a bureaucratic system that has never been held accountable

In August 2026, a woman mistakenly took a passport sleeve and was taken into a room by immigration officers — more than ten of them waiting inside. JIM did not apologise. Instead, they filed a police report saying her account was inconsistent with CCTV footage. This reflex — the state suing the complainant instead of investigating itself — is not an accident. It has historical roots.
